3 Home Projects That You Should Rent Scaffolding For

Nevaeh Graves

If you are doing a home project that requires you to reach heights that you can't get to on your own two feet, then renting some scaffolding may be an excellent idea for you. This article will discuss 3 home projects that you should rent scaffolding for.

Painting The Exterior Of Your Home

Perhaps one of the most common uses for scaffolding is to paint the exterior of your home. If you have a home that is two stories high, it is not wise to just use a ladder to do all of your painting. Not only is it difficult to try and paint while balancing on a ladder, but it is also very time consuming because you will paint much slower than if you were on a sturdier foundation. It is also time consuming because you will have to move the ladder every couple feet. The scaffolding will make it so that you are completely balanced, and since it is much larger than a ladder, you can paint a larger area at one time.

Painting Your Ceilings

Scaffolding can also be very beneficial for the interior of your home when you are painting, or otherwise working on, your ceilings. The scaffolding will come with wheels on the bottom of it that allow you to make it back and forth across the floor of your home with ease. You can also lock the wheels, making it safe and secure when you need it to stay in one spot while you are painting or working on a certain portion of your ceiling. The height of the scaffolding can also be built up or taken down, depending on what area of your ceiling you are working on. For example, the ceilings in your living room and kitchen may be vaulted, which means that they are going to need to have your scaffolding taller in order to safely reach your ceiling in these areas.

Roofing

If you are doing any type of roofing work on your home, then scaffolding can also be incredibly helpful. The scaffolding will go clear up the side of your house, until it is level with your roof. This gives you a secure structure to climb up when you want to get on the roof. The part of the scaffolding that is level with the roof creates a level barrier between the roof and the ground, which also adds another safety feature because it can stop you from falling off of the roof. The scaffolding also makes it easier for you to work on the very edges of your roof, because you can stand on the scaffolding, rather than being dangerously close to the edge, or standing on a ladder that isn't quite as stable.

About Me
Making the Best of Heavy Construction Equipment in the Area

Hiya! My name is Mitch Flanders. I work in construction where I have the great pleasure of running heavy equipment. I love my work, but I know for fact that those who live and work in the areas where I’m working don’t love me so much. I do have empathy for those folks. After all, my heavy equipment is noisy. When people complain, and they do, I try to help give them some suggestions on how to deal with the noise and mess us construction crews make. I always suggest that they get creative and make the best out of the disturbances. They can create betting games out of how many hours a day or week we are going to be disturbing them. Make it fun among the family or co-workers. I’m going to share more with you here, and hope you find it of interest.
